 Prices
  • The price of the trips are determined on a project basis, so the prices may differ. Social policy discounts cannot be used on our trips, any discounts are always highlighted in the description of the trip.
  • You can find the price of the trip by opening the page of the given trip, under Prices tab.
  • The passenger must keep the ticket until leaving the train or the program area, present it to the attendants on the train or in the station, and show it upon request.
  • If the passenger cannot show the ticket during the inspection, may be excluded from the trip. If the passenger does not have a valid ticket, the crew collects the fare in cash.
 Online booking
  • You can buy tickets online at www.continentaltrain.com or at our partner offices.
  • We cannot make reservations or purchases over the phone.
  • In order to make the journey of all our guests as comfortable as possible, our system allows you to book only seats next to each other.
  • Our trains change direction at the destination - i.e. the locomotive moves to the other end of the train. This means that those who sat with their backs to the direction of travel on the way there will sit facing the direction of travel on the way back, and vica versa.
  • The order of carriages seen at the time of booking is not the final assembly order of the train, so there may be another carriage in the train next to yours during the journey. We inform our guests about the final composition in an e-mail sent a few days before the trip.
 Payment
  • In the case of payment by bank transfer in advance, we will inform you about the details of the transfer (booking number, amount, bank account number, etc.) in an automatic confirmation e-mail after the booking has been submitted. After receiving the money, we will send the ticket and the invoice in a separate e-mail. Transfers are typically seen in the statement the day after the transfer, and in the case of Friday transfers, on nest Monday.

  • When paying by bank card, you can shop comfortably and safely on our website. After ordering the selected tickets, K&H Pénzforgalmi Szolgáltató Kft. we direct you to the website, where K&H Pénzforgalmi Szolgáltató Kft. you can pay with your bank card using a transaction conducted with encryption, which is currently considered the most secure. All our customers have to do is to click on "payment by bank card" when choosing the payment method, then K&H Pénzforgalmi Szolgáltató Kft. the card number, expiration date and three-digit security code are entered on your payment server.
    K&H Pénzforgalmi Szolgáltató Kft. accepts VISA, VISA Electron, V-Pay, MasterCard and Maestro cards. Bank cards issued exclusively for electronic use can only be accepted if their use is permitted by the bank issuing the card! Please check with your bank whether your card can be used for online purchases.
    K&H Pénzforgalmi Szolgáltató Kft. after a successful purchase, it issues an authorization number for the transaction, which you should write down or print out the entire page. In the event of an unsuccessful transaction, K&H Pénzforgalmi Szolgáltató Kft. the reason for the error is communicated in an error message.

 Travel documents
  • In the case of all trips, the passenger is obliged to obtain the personal identification document and travel document necessary for the trip and to check their validity.
  • The passenger must comply with the applicable laws and regulations (customs, foreign exchange laws, health regulations, etc.).
  • Additional costs resulting from the failure or violation of the above, as well as the consequential damages, shall be borne by the passenger.
 Before departure
  • The train schedule becomes final the week before travel, so please check it in any case. Before the trip, we inform our guests by e-mail about the most important information of the trip, including the schedule.
  • You can get information about the departure track via the stations passenger information equipment or from the station staff.
 Enroute
  • In accordance with current legislation, smoking and the use of electronic cigarettes are prohibited on the train.
  • The passenger can only get on and off the train at the stops specified in the train schedule.
  • If the train stops for traffic reasons, boarding and disembarking is prohibited.
  • At stations with passenger platforms, boarding and disembarking are only allowed on the side facing the passenger platform.
  • If there is no built-in passenger platform at the railway station, or there are passenger platforms on both sides of the track, you must get on and off on the side facing the railway station building.
  • Passengers on our vehicles or facilities must behave in such a way that they do not disturb their fellow passengers.
  • Wi-Fi service is not available on the train.
  • There are no electrical outlets on the train.
  • In the dining car and bar car, you can pay in cash (Forints and Euros) and by bank card.
 Baggages
  • It is not possible to transport unaccompanied luggage on the train.
  • We are not responsible for luggage left unattended.
  • On our trains, each passenger can carry a maximum of 2 pieces of hand luggage not exceeding 40×50×50×80 cm or 1 piece of 200×20×20 cm, which can be carried by one person and does not disturb the free movement on the train, or 1 piece of pram, or a pair of skis (including ski poles) or a sled free of charge.
  • The provisions regarding the maximum weight and size limit of hand luggage do not apply to wheelchairs and other mobility aids of persons with disabilities or reduced mobility.
  • The passenger must place the hand luggage in such a way that it does not disturb other passengers and the crew in free movement.
  • Bicycles can only be transported on trains for which we have announced this possibility on the website.
  • It is not allowed to bring into the passenger car:
  • any objects that could harm the physical integrity of the passengers, clothing or the railway car,
  • explosive,
  • flammable,
  • corrosive,
  • self-igniting,
  • toxic,
  • radioactive,
  • disgusting or infectious substances, 
  • any device which affects public safety.
